Presently there are no sleeping accommodations at Circle H Ranch, there are however a number of very nice & comfortable hotels in the city of Sault Ste. Marie
About our guides
Our guides at Circle H Ranch are experienced horsemen, and women. They are trained to do their best to look after your safety while offering a fun experience. Guides use their own discretion to match you to an appropriate horse and give instructions during orientation and while out on the trail. We think you will enjoy them as much as we do.
How old to children have to be?
minimum age - children must be 6 years old and have a   signed Circle H Ranch waiver by a parent permitting them to ride.

Children must be accompanied by an adult

Children under the age of 6 years old are NOT permitted to go on a trail ride.
Can guests trot or canter?
Riders must have ridden with the stable AT LEAST 4 times before exceeding a trot, however It is important to note that the option to do so is entirely up to the discretion of the guide at all times

If for any reason the guide thinks a faster gait would be unsafe for any guests in the group, then the ride will remain at a walk. The guides are generally happy to trot and canter with guests, but it must be understood that this is not a guaranteed part of any ride.
Helmets and Riding Boots?
Riding helmets are available for everyone upon request, and are required for those under the age of 18 yrs. An assortment of riding boots are also available, but not all sizes are guaranteed to be available for your ride so you can bring appropriate footwear.

All riders under the age of 18 years old MUST wear helmets, however it is recomended that ALL riders wear helmets.

No sandels, open toes, slip on, or running shoes

Must have a boot with a heel * 1/2 inch - 2 inch heel max*
Do we ride if it rains?
Yes!!!

Rain or shine, it's the cowboy way! The weather changes quickly so we must prepare for anything.
What to bring?
Wear suitable clothes for any weather (lots of layers)

Suitable footwear (boots with a 1/2 inch - 2 inch heel), or use boots provided at the ranch. (not all sizes guaranteed)

Rain gear should be brought .

Water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen.

Your camera!

No backpacks, or straps around the neck or waist are permitted while riding. Bags can be provided on your saddle to pack with personal belongings, how ever it is not recommended (depending on availability)
Liability Release
All guests of Circle H Ranch are required to read and sign a liability release. This basically says that you understand that you are riding at your own risk.
What is expected of guests?
No riders are to dismount on trail

All riders MUST REMAIN BEHIND THE GUIDE at all times

All riders must follow the guides directions or advice at all times, if you fail to or refuse to do so the ride will be halted, you may be asked to dismount and/ or walk back to the barn, and no refund will be given.

All riders must keep their horse/ pony in single file, there is to be absolutely NO PASSING

All riders are expected to have control of their horse or pony at all times, failure to do so may result in an extra fee for being led ($8.00), or you may not be permitted to go on the trail, but supervised in the arena.
It is important to note :
~   Anyone wishing to ride must have signed Circle H Ranch waiver

~   Circle H Ranch does not take responsibility for the behavior of the horse or horse(s) ridden by other guests
By participating in horse- related activities there is a risk of partial disability, permanent disability, or even death. Circle H Ranch assumes no responsibility for any injury or personal property.
